What it looks like in MOS

Tagged trolleys and assets are read automatically as they pass a gate. MOS knows which way they moved, lights the tower lamp green, red or orange through the gate PLC, holds back blocked trolleys with a countdown and an approval workflow, and keeps an audit of every movement.

What it does

In plain words

Tagged trolleys and assets are read automatically as they pass a gate. MOS knows which way they moved, lights the tower lamp green, red or orange through the gate PLC, holds back blocked trolleys with a countdown and an approval workflow, and keeps an audit of every movement.

What it does for you
  • Two readers per gate tell in from out
  • Tower lamps driven through the PLC
  • Blocked-trolley countdown and approval workflow
  • Unregistered tags caught and confirmed
  • Live dashboard of every gate
  • Reader health watchdog

What it connects to

  • UHF RFID readers over the network
  • Gate PLC over Modbus TCP
  • Tower lamps and buzzers

Where it runs today

  • Seven dock gates on one RFID engine, two readers per gate, lamps driven through a shared PLC
How it works

From the shop floor to the screen, in four steps

Tag

Each trolley or asset carries a UHF tag registered to its type and route.

Read at gates

Two readers per gate tell in from out as the trolley passes.

Signal

The gate PLC lights the tower lamp green, red or orange at once.

Approve or hold

A blocked trolley starts a countdown and an approval workflow; every move is audited.

What is needed in your plant

At each gate

Two UHF readers to tell in from out, and a tower lamp.

On the assets

A UHF tag on every trolley, pallet or bin.

In the plant

The gate PLC or a relay box, and the MOS plant server.

Rollout

Day one

First gate reading

One gate live with its lamp.

Week one

Every trolley tagged

Register built; movement rules set per route.

Month one

All gates, all moves

Approvals, breaches and audit running plant-wide.

Questions

Asked about RFID Asset & Trolley Tracking

Do metal trolleys block the tags?

On-metal tags are used for metal assets; reader placement is tuned at the gate during installation.

What happens on an unregistered tag?

It is flagged at the gate and must be confirmed before it is counted.

See it on your own machine.

Tell us about your plant and what you want to see. We visit, connect one machine or station, and you watch your own data in MOS before anything is quoted.

  • A plant visit to see the line and the problem
  • One machine or station connected as a proof of concept
  • Your own data, live, on MOS screens
  • Scope, modules and timeline agreed in writing only after that
