What it looks like in MOS

A booth runs one work order at a time (model, colour, plan). Every part carries a QR with its colour and paint time; it is scanned once at unload and checked against the running order — right colour, painted within the time limit, not scanned before. A good scan counts OK by itself. For a defect the operator scans the red card and chooses the reason by stepping the list with the same scanner — no keyboard, no mouse. The TV shows plan, OK, NG, FTR, plan-vs-actual and the NG Pareto per work order; masters and plans load from Excel or CSV.

What it does

In plain words

A booth runs one work order at a time (model, colour, plan). Every part carries a QR with its colour and paint time; it is scanned once at unload and checked against the running order — right colour, painted within the time limit, not scanned before. A good scan counts OK by itself. For a defect the operator scans the red card and chooses the reason by stepping the list with the same scanner — no keyboard, no mouse. The TV shows plan, OK, NG, FTR, plan-vs-actual and the NG Pareto per work order; masters and plans load from Excel or CSV.

What it does for you
  • One running work order per booth — started by scanning its card
  • Part QR validated: colour, paint time within the limit, scanned once
  • OK counted on a valid scan — nothing to press
  • NG reason chosen with the scanner: once = next, twice = select, dwell or reason cards
  • Typed reasons go to the master for approval
  • Plan, OK, NG, FTR, Pareto and hourly output on the booth TV
  • Models, colours, NG reasons and the daily plan from Excel / CSV
  • Every scan logged with its result, operator and shift; CSV export; shift report

What it connects to

  • A PC and a TV at the unload station
  • A USB barcode / QR scanner
  • Laminated station cards printed from MOS

Where it runs today

Available as a module on the MOS platform, configured to your stations and people during installation.

How it works

From the shop floor to the screen, in four steps

Run the work order

Scan the work-order card at the booth: model, colour and plan are now the running order on the TV.

Scan every part

The part QR is checked against the order — colour, paint time, not scanned before. Pass = OK +1; fail = red screen, not counted.

Mark a defect

Red card once opens the reason list for this model; again = next; twice = select. The last part becomes NG with that reason.

Read the TV

Plan, OK, NG, FTR, plan-vs-actual, NG Pareto and hourly output per work order; next order shown for the changeover.

The screens

What you see in MOS

  1. Booth TV — work orders of the shift with Plan / OK / NG / FTR / Pareto
  2. Red screens for colour mismatch, time expired, already scanned
  3. Work orders — queue, running, closed; upload the plan
  4. NG reasons per model, most-used first, Hindi labels, typed reasons awaiting approval
  5. Reports — filters by date, shift, order, result, operator; every scan; CSV export

What it measures for you

Every figure comes from the machine, the camera or the station itself — recorded as it happens, not typed in at the end of the shift.

Who uses it

Everyone sees what their job needs

Unload operator

Scans parts and the red card — nothing else

Paint shop supervisor

Starts orders, approves typed reasons, watches FTR

Quality head

Pareto by reason, model and colour; the scan log

Plant head

Plan vs actual and FTR per booth, shift report on WhatsApp

On site

What is needed in your plant

At the unload station

A PC with a TV and a USB barcode scanner; the station cards printed from MOS.

On the parts

A QR per part carrying colour and paint time — the format you already print, we read it as it is.

Nothing else

It runs on the MOS plant server; the plan and the masters come from Excel or CSV.

Rollout

From the first day to the first month

Day one

Booth live

Models, colours and NG reasons uploaded; the first work order started by card; parts scanned and counted on the TV.

Week one

Reasons settled

Typed reasons approved into the master; reason cards printed for the top defects; FTR target on the board.

Month one

Shift reports

Pareto by model and colour, plan vs actual per shift, the scan log exported for the customer audit.

Questions

Asked about Paint Shop Display

What if a part has no QR?

The green card counts an OK by hand; it is logged as a card count, not a scan, so the report shows the difference.

Can the time limit differ by colour?

Yes — each colour carries its own limit in the master; the project default applies where none is set.

Does the operator need a keyboard?

No. Everything runs from the scanner; a keyboard stays in the drawer for the rare reason that is not in the list.
